Portfolio / FENZ Paraparaumu Fire Station

This is a composite station that serves the needs of both career and volunteer fire fighters.

Incorporated into the design are spaces for operational needs, offices, training facilities, lockers, bedrooms, gymnasium, living areas, amenities and garaging for 3 appliances.

The final development is designed to meet IL4 code requirements and incorporate resilient factors such as underground water retention tanks.

Clad with zinc and honed concrete block, the station is sympathetic to its industrial surroundings whilst providing the fire fighters with a “home away from home”.
